STOCKHOLM, February 10, 2021 – The Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation and MedUniverse have signed a mutual partnership to utilize the MedUniverse Patient Case Engagement Platform to raise awareness and communicate illnesses related to heart and lung disease. The goal is to increase awareness and enable long-term learning among both HCPs and patients, around some of the most common heart and lung-related diseases.
– We’re proud to be the first charitable fundraising organization that partners with MedUniverse in order to help us achieve one of our two major objectives: provide information about heart and lung diseases. We are constantly looking to identify clinical needs for new research and this partnership allows for new ways of identifying knowledge gaps among patients. The platform will enable us and our network of experts within our field to create, store and distribute educational material in an interactive and smart way. As a result of anonymous participation, we will also be able to measure different target groups’ knowledge levels as we are aiming to conquer the major diseases of our time: heart, lung and vascular diseases, says Secretary General Kristina Sparreljung of The Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation.
– I am a strong supporter of the Heart-Lung Foundation’s mission of raising awareness around heart and lung diseases. In sponsoring the Heart-Lung Foundation with access to the MedUniverse platform we believe we will contribute to increased knowledge levels among both HCPs and patients. We look forward to identifying and closing the biggest knowledge gaps around these chronic diseases, says Anna Omstedt Lindgren, CEO and Founding Partner of MedUniverse and Board Member of The Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation.
